The ECA Consortium is an International Non-Profit Association dedicated to promoting the use of The ECA technology (Electro Chemical Activation).
The shareholding companies co-operate in matters concerning ECA applications that are regulated by the European Biocidal Products Regulation (BPR, Regulation (EU) No 528/2012). This includes ECA manufacturers, liquid suppliers and other associations. Shareholders of the ECA Consortium are also initiating and supporting the development of technical standards in the field of ECA treatment and are providing standardization bodies and associations with technological expertise.
In particular, the ECA Consortium is supporting anyone (e.g. ECA manufacturers, end users, etc.) needing to comply with requirements arising from the Biocidal Products Regulation for ECA disinfection applications.
The ECA Consortium is providing a Letter of Access (LoA) to any party that is seeking to get Article 95 listed ”Active chlorine generated from sodium chloride by electrolysis”. Please visit our "Documents" page to find out more about the procedure to become a shareholder or receive a LoA.
